ON-SITE TRIAL IN SIBERIA
FIRST TURBOKHOLOD TURBOEXPANDER WITH S2M MAGNETIC BEARINGS
ROBUST TECHNOLOGY FOR NATURAL GAS WITH HIGH CONDENSATE CONTENT
2006. Produced by Turbokholod (Moscow), the premier Russian constructer of turboexpanders for gas treatment, the first turboexpander fitted with S2M magnetic bearings has been successfully tested at the Gazprom site near Yamburg in Siberia.
This machine is used in a cooling cycle for natural gaz with an exceptionally high condensate content. S2M's "tough technology" is designed for difficult operating conditions like this, and the trial has demonstrated beyond any doubt the high technical reliability of S2M's magnetic bearings in a particularly testing environment. The Yamburg gas has the highest condensate content of any Russian gas deposit.
